Drainage tunnel

I got out to walk this morning again and went three miles.
I'll increase my distance slowly till I get back up to my usual 6 miles or so.
I took this photo of the drainage tunnel along one of the paths
that goes under the street.
There are three of these things in a row.
A happy day to you.
Happyone : )

  1. A very interesting photo!

I am glad you are able to take your walks again.

  2. Wow! Cool photo, Happyone! I think children would think it is the mouth to a monster. hahahaha. Thank you for your comment regarding jewelry. You must be feeling pretty good to go 3 miles. Yay you!

  3. I like this photo, glad you are getting to walk, I have yet to get back, I have been having some back issues, just waiting for the chiropractor to give me the go ahead. Wishing you and your dear family a most blessed Easter.

  4. Big. And I'll bet they do good work, or they'd not be there.

    Gentle hugs,

  5. I'm glad to see that you are out and walking again. I predict it won't be long before you are at your usual 6 miles.

  6. Glad your out walking. Your a good example for me. I am in slug mode since November!!
No kidding. This is the absolute truth. They put tunnels like this under a road in our Forest Preserve to reduce the critter carnage.

  7. As an Environmental planner working on highways, I know how critical are the drainage channels for highways....mis-calculation and improper drainage channel location can even lead to submergence and washing away of whole road sections!!

this is a nice shot...we take such pics when on site visit :)
