A green something

Spotted this green flying moth thing sitting on a post up on our land.
Anyone ever seen anything like it or know what it is?
It was quite big - about three inches across.
It stayed there long enough for me to get a step ladder,
climb up and take pictures so I was able to get up nice and close.
It must have stayed there over an hour.

A happy day to you.

Lovely, whatever it is. Bet the lady at the "Woods And Water Ways" would know. :-)

Think you've told of the *dinner bell* before but...... Would you tell us all again... About everything in this pic... Other than the butterfly, that is? :-)
