Leaf Bug

I don't know what this is but I think Leaf Bug would be the perfect name for it.

This last picture is a bit blurry but it was looking right at me.

Edit: Looked this up and discovered its a Katydid.

  2. One of my favorite insects: it's a katydid. Must be a male. The female has a long ovipositor on her rear.

  3. Yes it is a Katydid, we have literally thousands of them on our property this year. They rub their wings together to make this sharp pitch sound. You can always chase them they will chirp at you. I don't ever want to see them again! :)

  4. PS: They eat plants every where and will destroy your garden, they are NOT beneficials no matter what some people say, they will devour your plants and trees! There were so many that the birds stayed away from them and they leave a brown mess on your house siding that has to be scrubbed off to get it off! Pamie
